Monday, June 29th, 2009

This Rubik’s cube by Google, which I acquired at a SXSW party in 2008, is one of a kind. Check out this awesomeness on all six sides.

Grande Communications Lights and USB Car Charger

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Grande Communications does digital cable TV, high speed internet, and local/long distance telephone.

They also have the most unique schwag of all.

Take a look at this cool light device. The colors are my favorite.

This is SXSW 09’s schwag: a car charger that powers USB devices.

SWEET.

FanCorps does social networking with a purpose, offering musicians and labels the ability to spread their message through a Street Team management philosophy.

At SXSW in 2008, they had these army/navy tags:

I love me some dog tags!

CafeMom Oven Mitts

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Now that I’m a new mother, I’m looking at resources and communities to learn more about this new job that I’ll have for the rest of my life. There are a lot of great communities but I don’t have to look much further than CafeMom, a community for mothers (and mothers-to-be).

They attended a Mashable event last year and I came home with a pretty sweet oven mitt, which is a unique piece of schwag — I’ve gotten my fair share of pens and cups and shirts, but how many people give out an oven mitt?!

It’s a great idea — except I hope that doesn’t lead some men to say that women belong in the kitchen! 😉 (Guess what, guys — we’re taking care of your kids!)
