I HAD A BABY!

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Dear readers, as you may have seen, I promised some posts after my Israel trip which happened in late March. Having traveled on 6 flights during my 6th month of pregnancy, I had no idea how tough it would be to update this blog. I’m back — with great news. My son, David Jacob, was born on May 20th (six weeks early!) The baby is in great health!

To kick things off for being a first time mom, I got this designer diaper bag from Coolil.com, a company that specializes in Israeli designs.

The picture doesn’t really do the bag justice – but the corduroy is top notch. It has a big pocket (which helps to lug around that doctor paperwork), a waterproof diaper changing pad, adjustable straps, a detachable keychain, bottle compartments (seriously, you need these!), a pacifier holder, and more. Plus, it’s comfortable and lightweight. The Heidi bag is a great stroller bag. I’m quite impressed and am so glad I have it!

El Al Airlines Schwag

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

In a matter of days, I’m headed to Israel on a blogger’s delegation. We’ll be shown parts of Israel that are frequently-accessed by the public and then parts of Israel that tourists don’t even think to discover. This includes the Old City of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv-Jaffa, but also extends to universities that explore Israel’s technology advances.

I’ll be profiling a lot of the trip here and on other social channels, such as Twitter, FriendFeed, and Flickr.

To prepare us for the trip, El Al Airlines, my most favorite airline for flying to Israel, sent my husband (who will be attending as well) and I a gift. We got a bag, a big “chip clip,” a money clip, a stuffed animal thing (which is uber cute), a deck of cards, a flashlight on a keychain, a notepad, a luggage tag, and a little inflatable pillow. Some of the items are pictured below:

I’m excited to go on this trip and am super psyched to share the experience with my readers. Stay tuned and check out this blog and my other channels for updates. You can bet that once I’m back, there will be more posts on this site.

Mountain Dew Voltage Sweepstakes

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

I love Mountain Dew. In fact, I never had this Mountain Dew voltage drink until last week and it is GOOD.

(Pictured above: a cool t-shirt and drink that was sent to my doorstep)

The cool part about Mountain Dew Voltage is that while the drink is good by itself, I hear that Mountain Dew is also running a related Voltage sweepstakes. There’s an easy way to sign up and be eligible for lots of great prizes at DEWmocracy Voltage (which include an XBOX 360, gaming gear, iPods, and more). How come nobody sent me any of the good stuff? 🙂

In any event, it doesn’t hurt to sign up, and the prizes look fun. Good luck!

Promopeddler Delivers Again!

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

A few months ago, I got this awesome package in the mail from Promopeddler. They have such cool promotional products. Also, out of the blue, I ran into Monte at Pubcon in Vegas this past November, and that was a treat. (Hi Monte!)

I took photos of most of the items, but since I had to create a video of one of them, this post was delayed.

The video I took is of the slick sweeper. Apparently I was off when I thought it was shoe polish. (Doh!)

Next, though, we have some cool imprinted golf tees. I didn’t get any imprints but this would be fun for my next trip in at the putt putt 😉

I also found myself with ear plugs which come from a ready to mail first aid kit. Fun!

For traveling, having <3oz. bottles is REALLY brilliant. I had been looking for a place to buy these for a long time but then the aero-fresh travel kit arrived at my doorstep unexpected. Rockin!

Now I don’t really drink coffee, but getting logo imprinted gourmet coffee means I can invite some people over for breakfast.

And finally, to celebrate going green, there’s a custom imprinted grocery bag that tops everything off.

Thanks guys!
