.co Schwag

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

.co, a top level domain name which I personally would recommend buying by Namecheap, had a huge presence at this year’s SXSW.

This plastic lightbulb was filled to the brim with Jelly Belly jellybeans. Very attractive!

They also had a permanent marker (orange, of course) on a keychain. Smart:

…and sunglasses. Yes, the sunglasses:

.co gave away the loot in branded bags and also had this T-shirt air brushing station. I did get a t-shirt for my son, but it’s covered in chocolate as I write this (and I picked out the wrong design, but that’s a story for another day.)

iNetWord WiFi Detector

Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011

iNetWord is a Firefox and Internet Explorer online editor with lots of features. But it also means that my Chrome browser is not supported. However, I am able to benefit from iNetWord’s nice wifi detector, a keychain that notifies me if I’m within range of a wifi access point. Sweet.

LeaderPromos Goody Bag

Friday, June 12th, 2009

I had a stork come deliver a baby on my doorstep three weeks ago, but I’ve also been getting a flurry of awesome packages lately. One of the more overdue thank yous goes to promotional products site Leaderpromos.com, who sent a bunch of really cool stuff.

Everything came in this cool promo bag:

I stumbled upon a heavy duty note cube at first:

And for more note-taking, there was this notebook:

Here’s a really cool eco-friendly promotional pad:

They also had a great travel mug:

I like keychains, so their custom imprinted key chain was also pretty nice, as was the
promotional pen that came in the box!

Plus, there was this pen and highlighter combo as well:

I also love USB drives, though the small-sized ones (<1GB) are starting not to be able to hold much for me. Despite that, this promotional USB drive met my minimum criteria and works! 🙂

(Course, I’m not sure if you need all the other accessories, since most new computers are Plug N Play and never ask!)

Additional trade show giveaways included this pad:

which had cool post-its inside:

and post-its:

Thanks guys!

El Al Airlines Schwag

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

In a matter of days, I’m headed to Israel on a blogger’s delegation. We’ll be shown parts of Israel that are frequently-accessed by the public and then parts of Israel that tourists don’t even think to discover. This includes the Old City of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv-Jaffa, but also extends to universities that explore Israel’s technology advances.

I’ll be profiling a lot of the trip here and on other social channels, such as Twitter, FriendFeed, and Flickr.

To prepare us for the trip, El Al Airlines, my most favorite airline for flying to Israel, sent my husband (who will be attending as well) and I a gift. We got a bag, a big “chip clip,” a money clip, a stuffed animal thing (which is uber cute), a deck of cards, a flashlight on a keychain, a notepad, a luggage tag, and a little inflatable pillow. Some of the items are pictured below:

I’m excited to go on this trip and am super psyched to share the experience with my readers. Stay tuned and check out this blog and my other channels for updates. You can bet that once I’m back, there will be more posts on this site.
