Baveo Jacket

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

I have a billion t-shirts, and I do happen to still collect those with awesome designs. As for some of the others, especially the ones that don’t fit, let me be frank and say that I donate those to charity.

But some folks send along pretty awesome things that won’t be sent away at all. The Baveo (pronounced bavy-oh, where the bavy sounds like baby) jacket is one of those. Founder Ari Greenberg, a good friend, hooked me up. He also hooked up the baby with his own jacket, but I have to get that jacket from Ari in due time so that I can pose before the little one outgrows it!

Baveo is a blogging platform for parents who want to share their baby with the rest of the world. You can share your registry, count down until the baby’s birth, post photos from your mobile phone, and more. Oh, of course I used it! Will I share the URL? Nope — that’s for friends and family. 😉

United Print Group: Screen Cleaner

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

I have the dirtiest computer ever. If you saw Friday’s post, you can clearly tell that it’s in bad shape.

I also am not good at cleaning it. Heck, I should really stock up on screen cleaners and then some (hint hint).

United Print Group offers promotional products. They sent me this screen cleaner in an envelope.

I totally could use this, as I’m sure Tom could tell. Thanks Tom!

Know Cancer Bracelet: awesome swag

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Know Cancer is an online social community for individuals affected by cancer. Organized by a friend I met in the social media world and a kid I’ve known almost all my life, it’s pretty powerful to see this community and how it flourishes.

They have a great site, and I highly recommend that you check it out.

They also have some super amazing homemade schwag, a bracelet. I’ve been told that they had other colors too, but I happen to like blue.

(Can you tell that P&S photography isn’t my strong suit?)

In any event, I suggest you look at this community if only to see how beautiful it is — they did a great job. But signing up and being part of the conversation is a good thing to do as well.

Meetup Pin

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Meetup is a web service that lets you find local area meetups or to create one yourself. There are thousands of networking opportunities for those interested in getting to know local people in just about any topic.

Meetup also has maintained its presence at a variety of trade shows (cmon, why wouldn’t Meetup attend a local meetup?) and at one of those, I found myself the owner of a brand new Meetup pin:
