Geeks.com Schwag: Harry Potter Scene It? Game and Oriental Rug Mousepad

Friday, February 1st, 2008

Geeks.com, a computer parts online store (and a good one at that–I’ve bought from there a couple of times) sent me some cool stuff, including a Harry Potter game (Scene It?) and an oriental rug mousepad. Check it out.

Play65 Backgammon Game and More

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

Wow, I have to say that I was shocked and excited to receive a box from Israel on my doorstep this morning. Inside it excited me even more. It’s my first ever backgammon game that I’ve owned, courtesy of Play65, an online backgammon game-playing site.

So when I opened the box, I saw a very cool bag:

Then I looked at the smallest thing in the box, which was a mousepad:

And then I saw another box within this box containing an uber cool backgammon set.

Here’s the outside:

And this is what it looks like when it’s opened:

The build quality looks surprisingly good, and I can tell you that this is one piece of schwag that I’ll put to good use.

For those of you looking for your own backgammon set, play some Play65 backgammon online.

By the way, Barry Schwartz got one of these nifty backgammon sets last year too.

Todah rabah, Roni and the Play65 team for a really awesome and unexpected treat!

DoubleClick Sudoku Keychain Game

Now that we’ve finished showcasing our Google Fridge in Dan’s super awesome contest, it’s time to return to our regularly scheduled programming. We’ll be reviewing the entries this week and a winner will be chosen next week. After learning how much it costs, I must say I’m sad that I was not eligible to enter 🙂 But moving on…

At SES San Jose, DoubleClick (you know, the company that got acquired by Google) was handing out this Sudoku keychain game. I haven’t played it yet but the concept is a good one.

By the way, the backdrop for this picture is my Google beanbag chair. It serves multiple purposes. How nifty.
