LivePerson Headset

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

One of the best pieces of schwag that I’ve scored is the LivePerson headset. LivePerson is a live chat and email management application for tech support. The Liveperson folks visit a lot of conferences. I’m pretty sure I got this one either at an SES or ad:Tech conference, but I honestly don’t know which one it was.

This USB headset came at a most perfect time since I was seeking out a headset for online conferencing. Now I use it when I use Skype, and it’s great!

JargonFish Desk Toy Paperweight

Desk toys are always fun. This paperweight fish desk toy from text widget JargonFish is one of the better ones that I’ve stumbled across. I love these water toys.

The Cappex Hat Looks Like a Cornell University Hat

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

If you were at ad:Tech New York or at Pubcon, you’ve almost certainly run into Alan or Chris at the Cappex booth. Cappex is a college search website that lets colleges apply to you.

They gave away a mighty cool cap, too. It looks just like a hat from Cornell University (which is pictured right next to it on the right).

But it’s pretty cool, isn’t it?

Water Bottles Among Us

Monday, January 21st, 2008

People love water bottles. I personally am a fan of the Nalgene-type bottles that have measurements on the side. I remember when those things didn’t exist and my bottle would leak all over my backpack. Now, marketers have gotten smarter, and the result: very cool water bottles from many companies.

Below, three bottles that I received at a recent conference.

The first one comes from Revenue.Net, a direct navigation search marketing platform.

The second bottle comes from Kontera, an in-text advertiser. I won it in a contest, actually.

The final one isn’t a Nalgene-type bottle, so if someone sits on it, it will probably break. However, it comes from Marchex, a local search agency that my good friend Matt works for. 😉
