Dan Perry’s Schwag Bag

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

Last month, I blogged about Dan Perry’s Google Fridge Giveaway, of which I was a judge (among other things). 😉 Well, in case you haven’t checked out the blog announcement, Dan has chosen a winner: John Honeck. The cool thing is that John now has a refrigerator, but he’s going to give it to me eventually.

In any event, since I helped organize the contest, Dan sent me some schwag which includes a ton of awesome stuff:

Didja see the impossible-to-find Ask Jeeves stuff? 🙂

Well, here’s another shirt that will never be made again:

Also, another shirt from the Google Dance in 2005 (note: my first Google Dance was 2007).

Some hats:

Finally, Dan hooked me up with a Google lava lamp! I’ve never owned one of these things but I’ve mentioned before that I love desk toys. This one is hot!

Thanks Dan Perry!

DoubleClick Sudoku Keychain Game

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Now that we’ve finished showcasing our Google Fridge in Dan’s super awesome contest, it’s time to return to our regularly scheduled programming. We’ll be reviewing the entries this week and a winner will be chosen next week. After learning how much it costs, I must say I’m sad that I was not eligible to enter 🙂 But moving on…

At SES San Jose, DoubleClick (you know, the company that got acquired by Google) was handing out this Sudoku keychain game. I haven’t played it yet but the concept is a good one.

By the way, the backdrop for this picture is my Google beanbag chair. It serves multiple purposes. How nifty.

Schwag Bag from Allen Stern of CenterNetworks

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

Allen Stern from web 2.0 site CenterNetworks and I met for lunch on Sunday and he hooked me up with some schwag from Blog World Expo (which I didn’t go to, but maybe next year!).

Included in the picture is:

  1. IZEA (formerly known as PayPerPost) cup holder
  2. Bottle opener keychain from informational site Memestreams.net
  3. Squishy (and super cute) cow from mobile site Utterz.com
  4. T-Shirt from YieldBuild ad network
  5. 2 T-shirts from the B5 media blog network. One says “AdSense buys my daily coffee (and keeps the change)” and the other says “Google is my pimp.”

Thanks Allen for the awesome schwag bag!

My New Office Chair: Google Beanbag Chair

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

For some reason, some people at Google forgot to acknowledge that I work from home and not in the middle of nowhere the mountains in upstate New York. Therefore, I drove the 45 minutes to RustyBrick to pick up this awesome Google Beanbag Chair which will now be my office chair. The bag is huge! We almost couldn’t close the trunk of my car because it really is bigger than it appears. But fortunately, the size makes for its comfort. Beanbag chairs are really comfy and since I never really sat in one until the Google Dance this past summer, I really craved one. (By the way, yes, I’m serious about the office chair since I don’t really have a good chair or desk at this time and my computer is a laptop, after all).

I think I owe thanks to Frank the Tank and for this one (except that he actually had my home address, so I don’t get it), Matt Cutts, and Google for this one. Thanks guys! 🙂
